This August Bank Holiday weekend, millions will be descending onto Ladbroke Grove to enjoy Notting Hill Carnival. 

The festival has become a massive event in the calendar and shuts down dozens of streets as millions party and the colourful parade makes its way through the roads. 

With any carnival or big event in London, several roads will be closed to ensure that everyone is safe. 

So you're not caught out by the road closures, we have broken down all the information on roads and the parade route. 

Notting Hill Carnival parade route

Across the weekend there are two parades over two days, the children parade on Sunday and the adults on Monday. 

Both parades start near Westbourne Park tube station and move down to Westbourne Park Road. 

The Notting Hill Carnival route then goes down to Chepstow Road to Westbourne Grove before turning up Ladbroke. 

The route then loops down Kensal taking it back towards the starting point, making the route three miles long.

Notting Hill Carnival road closures

Here is a full list of roads that will be shut during Notting Hill Carnival, the roads will be closed from 6am on Sunday, August 24 until 6am Tuesday, August 27.

The list is in alphabetical order and you can search for specific roads in the attached search bar.

All parking restrictions will begin at midnight on Saturday, August 24 until 6am on Tuesday.

On Saturday, there will be some road closures from 11am until midnight around Kensal Road to allow for the Panorama event. 

Waiting restrictions will also be imposed by local authorities around Pembridge Ward and parts of Norland Ward as well as Campden Ward on both Sunday and Monday.
