From the mouth-watering mini burgers to the adoring aesthetic, the new STK restaurant inside The Gantry Hotel in Stratford was the perfect location for a perfect Valentines.
STK Steakhouse is located amid the hustle and bustle of Stratford, London, and offers a fine-dining experience with rooftop views of London.
The chic restaurant is at the heart of vibrant hotspots across the world, including New York, Dubai, Ibiza, Chicago, and two can be already found in London, at the Strand and Westminster.
My mum and I visited the latest and greatest STK in Stratford for an ‘evening mixer’ which meant we could enjoy mingling as we tasted various canapes which can be found on the STK menu.
Situated on the top floor of The Gantry Hotel - an urban resort which offers an entertaining experience for all guests – STK is the icing on the cake for a perfect romantic getaway.
We started our visit with a cold glass of prosecco as we were welcomed in by the outgoing STK staff and introduced to our surroundings.
The restaurant was quaint, sexy, and dimly lit – customers who were sat at their table seemed to be content and enjoying their food.
Now STK is not the cheapest of eateries, but it offers the ‘fine dining’ experience for sure and encourages customers to dress in comfortable but classy clothes.
The main event, the food, was exquisite.
From the cheesy miniburgers, to the crispy calamari, to the spicy quesadillas, each and every food item tasted as good as it looked.
Our first taster were chicken bites which were covered in what I believe was a sweet, sticky BBQ sauce – the taste was unique, tangy and delicious.
My absolute favourite was the ‘lil brgs’, these sliders were the ideal appetiser for an event mixer, and they were cooked to perfection.
If you chose these delicious bites of heaven upon your visit to STK, you could find them on the menu for £20.
We also devoured the sliders of the falafel, calamari, and quesadillas – each was equally delicious and bursting with flavours.
There was most certainly not a bad thing on the taster menu at the mixer, but our experience would have been a five-out-of-five if we were able to taste what STK are renowned for – their steaks.
After tucking in to the delicious food, my mum and I took to the balcony and admired the panoramic views of the City of London – something I will never get tired of.
We were then encouraged to ‘spin the prize wheel’ which meant we could win rewards to use for our next visit to STK – and I remarkably won a bottle of champagne, which I am yet take advantage of.
STK is a reimagined timeless American cuisine, which offers impeccable service and a fun night for all.
I now understand what all the fuss is about when people visit this glamorous restaurant.
