This is the horrific moment a van burst into flames inside the Blackwall Tunnel.
The fire, which forced the tunnel to shut in both directions, broke out just after 5.30pm yesterday (February 6).
The footage, taken by a passerby, shows bright orange flames engulfing the vehicle, with clouds of black smoke billowing from the van.
London Fire Brigade control officers received around 20 calls to tackle the blaze.
Two fire engines from Greenwich and East Greenwich fire stations attended the scene.
Diversions were put in place following the incident but have since been lifted.
No injuries were reported.
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “Firefighters tackled a van alight in the Blackwall Tunnel.
“Road closures were put in place to allow crews to put out the fire safely.
“The Brigade was called at 1732 and our 999 Control Officers received around 20 calls.
“Two fire engines from Greenwich and East Greenwich fire stations attended the scene.”
