After a sell-out run in 2021, artist Luke Jerram is set to return to Greenwich’s Royal Naval College with a new installation called Museum of the Moon.
From December 13 until February 5, 2023 visitors will be able to see a seven-metre moon hanging from the ceiling in The Painted Hall.
This will be accompanied by ambient music from BAFTA winning composer Dan Jones.
Following a sell-out run of Jerram’s previous installation Gaia in 2021, this event can be enjoyed this winter season.
The Royal Naval College has announced a calendar of lunar themed events to accompany the installation beginning with a packed line-up of Christmas themed events.
Families can enjoy a special visit with Father Christmas when booking their Santa’s Over the Moon Experience on selected days throughout December.
Foodies can enjoy a Moonlight Dining Experience where you can dine underneath the moon for £120 per person on December 16 from starting at 7pm.
Or, Festive Afternoon Tea in the Admiral’s House can be enjoyed on selected Sundays throughout December.
In January, there will be a calendar of yoga classes and activities to promote health and wellbeing to start the new year.
Standard tickets cost £13.50 for an adult, £7.50 for a concession, children up to 16 go free with an adult and carers go free.
Alongside their usual tickets, Royal Naval College also offers Social Media Mondays for influencers and photographers to go with reduced numbers for that iconic Instagrammable shot.
