A man and woman from north Kent have been charged with drug dealing offences after they were pulled over by police on a motorway.
Officers stopped a car on the M6 southbound between junction 18 and 19, near Knutsford, at around 1.30am on Thursday October 21.
During a subsequent search of the vehicle, officers discovered a quantity of what are believed to be Class A drugs.
The driver of the car, 31-year-old Emily Philips, of George’s Ward, Swanley, and the passenger, Robert Dalton, 38, of Old Road West, Gravesend, were both arrested at the scene.
The pair have since both been charged with possession with intent to supply class A Drugs. The driver has also been charged with dangerous driving.
Philips and Dalton have both been remanded in police custody and are set to appear at Cheshire Magistrates Court later today, Friday October 22.
