Roads in Woolwich have been shut down by police after a bus collided with a bollard, leaving the driver in hospital in life-threatening condition.
The bus driver, a man in his 50s, was given emergency first aid by officers at the scene, and is currently in a south London hospital fighting for his life.
Met Police say enquiries are ongoing, but they believe the bus driver suffered a medical episode.

The incident happened at around 10:20am on Friday, October 22, when a bus collided with a bollard in Beresford Street in Woolwich, south east London.
There is nothing to suggest any other vehicles were involved, and the bus was not in service at the time.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call police on 101 quoting CAD 2174/22Oct.
