Part of the A2 just over the Danson Underpass has been reopened as fire crews tackled an earlier lorry blaze.
A spokeswoman for the London Fire Brigade has said: "Two fire engines and around 10 firefighters were called to a lorry alight Eastbound of Rochester Way in Bexley.
"A lorry was badly damaged by fire and the Brigade received 15 calls to the incident.
"The Brigade was called at 1510 and the fire was under control by 1613.
