Two metal containers have been destroyed after a fire broke out at a scrapyard in Erith.
The London Fire Brigade sent four fire engines and 25 firefighters to the scene of the blaze in Manor Road shortly after 4.30am yesterday (January 27).
A spokesman said crews from Bexley, Erith and Plumstead stations were at the scene, as well as an appliance from the Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS).
Firefighters were there for two and a half hours before the fire was deemed under control by around 7am.
The cause of it remains under investigation.
