A woman in her 50s has been hit by a motorbike after the rider allegedly refused to stop for police.
She was hit by the bike at around 11.45am today (September 5) in Sydenham Road and her condition has not yet been clarified.
The biker, who police say “failed to stop” when he was followed by a marked car, was arrested at the scene.
He also suffered an injury in the crash although his condition is not yet known.
Police are continuing with enquiries and asked anyone with information to call them on 101.
UPDATE - A further two men, aged 18 and 24, were arrested for "obstructing" police during the incident.
They remain in police custody along with the driver.
