The London Air Ambulance had to land in Greenwich Park after a man was “taken ill” near the National Maritime Museum.
The incident took place at around 5pm yesterday (June 22) and saw the London Ambulance Service called to the scene, as well as the Metropolitan Police.
Many passers-by and those enjoying a sunny Friday evening in the park took to social media to speculate what the incident was about.
But Met Police confirmed today the truth behind the incident, with a spokesman telling News Shopper: "Police were called shortly before 5pm on Friday, 22 June to assist the London Ambulance Service after a man was taken unwell close to the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich."
The condition of the man is unknown at this time.
