Lewisham was the backdrop of a high-speed police chase including mopeds, helicopters and police dogs.
The chase started with what was described as an armed robbery around 2pm, with three men reportedly escaping on a pair of mopeds.
Soon the chase was snaking through the streets of Lewisham with police helicopters circling over Hither Green, Ladywell, Catford and Brockley.

Witnesses said the police cars âwere like speeding bulletsâ through the streets, with other saying the towns turned âchaoticâ due to the temporary traffic restrictions put in place.
After a long chase the drivers were caught and detained, however the pillion passenger ran off.
He tried to escape but was chased down with the help of a police dog unit and detained along with the other two moped drivers.
