The Met Office has issued a weather warning with a chance of snow hitting London in the next couple of days.
A yellow weather warning has been put into place in certain parts of the country as icy temperatures bring wintry snowstorms.
UPDATE: SNOW! The first flurries of winter 2017 have fallen in London
Icy patches are like to develop and wintry showers are likely to bring some snow in the next couple of days.
The icy weather and snow will be travelling down the country as a yellow weather warning has been put in place.
A Met Office spokesman said: “The extent of ice will vary across the area with inland areas most prone whilst coastal areas are less likely to be affected. 2 to 5cm of snow may accumulate above about 100m, with smaller amounts at lower levels.”
Tonight in London it is likely to plunge to -1 with temperatures only rising slightly tomorrow so wrap up warm.
