A Sydenham restaurant had its windows smashed just days after winning an award.
La Petite Bouchee won a Time Out magazine Love London award naming it the best restaurant in the area on Monday.
The four-seater French brasserie in Sydenham Wells Park was the victim of vandalism today (Thursday, November 17).
In a statement staff said: "La Petite Bouchée is now closed this weekend.
"We have been the subject of targeted criminal damage.
"The police share the same belief that there is too much of a coincidence that we won the best restaurant in Sydenham award on Monday night at the #lovelondonawards and then last she was attacked.
"We all feel sick to our stomachs that someone could have done this to us. We are all heartbroken."
A spokesman for Lewisham Police said: "On Monday it was awarded the title of best restaurant in Sydenham by Time Out magazine. Last night it has been vandalised.
"All of the windows have been either smashed or broken but curiously nothing was taken from inside the van.
"It is believed to have happened during the night and it is possible the suspects would have had to climb into the park.
"The van was vandalised about 15 months ago but the owner does not believe the two incidents are linked.
"There is quite a good community spirit in the area and we would like any witnesses, or anyone with any information, to come forward."
#SYDENHAM we were so proud to win @TimeOutLondon #lovelondonawards for best restaurant in #SE26. This morning our biz has been attacked.
