An Eltham man has been charged with murder after a man's remains were found in Canterbury.
Richard Donovan, 26, of Westhorne Avenue, is due to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court via video link today (May 13).
On April 25 decomposed human remains were found in a tent in rough ground.
The remains are thought to be that of 60-year-old rough sleeper Philip Fox.
Following a post-mortem examination and forensic enquiries, officers were able to establish the deceased was male.
Other enquiries carried out at the scene have led officers to believe the deceased was a 60-year-old man and further forensic tests are underway.
Work to locate any next of kin is ongoing.
