Cray moved up to third in the Isthmian League North table after coming from behind to win at struggling Barkingside. Leigh Bremner rolled back the years with a clinically taken hat-trick.
Cray took the lead in the 7th minute when Bremner fired home a curling shot from the edge of the penalty area. James Duckworth hit the post and Bremner shot wide as Cray dominated.
Barkingside though were dogged opponents and levelled in the 36th minute when Andrew Greenslade scored from close range. Darren Foxley hit the bar for the home side whilst Jacob Erskine left the field with an Achilles tendon injury.
The second half was a lively affair with Barkingside taking the lead three minutes after the break when Luke With fired in from close range before Cray turned the game around.
First Bremner made it 2-2 twenty minutes into the second half when he converted Aryan Tajbakhsh’s pass.
Cray then went ahead in the 73rd minute when Tajbakhsh’s cross shot from the left flew into the net.
The Wands then set the seal with two goals in the last ten minutes. First in the 82nd minute, Bremner completed his hat-trick with a clinical finish from Michael Frieter's pass and with two minutes to go, Bremmer became provider for Ray Powell who tapped in after his initial shot was blocked.
