A lorry thought to be a sewage tanker caught fire in Dartford.
The smelly disaster was averted after firefighters tackled the fire in Marsh Street.
The flames ripped through the cab of the truck just before 12.40pm.
Crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel and a fog spike to reach under the cab into the engine compartment to put out the fire.
A thermal imaging camera was also used to check the fire was fully out.
The fire, which destroyed the cab of the vehicle, is being treated as accidental and is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault.
There were no reported casualties.
