A Sydenham man has been charged with dealing of heroin and cocaine in north Kent, while another man has been charged after a vehicle was raided for drugs in Gravesend.
Daniel Mackenzie, 25, of Sydenham Hill, has been charged with possessing heroin and cocaine with intent to supply.
Kent Police’s Operation Jupiter team - that continues to tackle organised drug gangs - executed a warrant at Mara Court, Chatham on October 19 and arrested Mackenzie on suspicion of supplying the class As.
He has been bailed to appear at Chatham Magistrates’ Court on February 1.
In a separate incident, officers searched a vehicle they stopped in Lower Range Road, Gravesend on December 31.
Ricky Johnson-Zwane, 23, of Rotherhithe, London, was arrested and charged with possessing heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply.
He has been bailed to appear at Maidstone Crown Court at a later date, to be determined.
Operation Jupiter is part of local strategy designed to tackle emerging criminal gangs, whose members often travel into the county from other areas.
The strategy includes taking robust action to deter criminals in areas including Gravesham and Dartford, Medway and Swale - often in connection with the sale and distribution of drugs.
