A schoolgirl has been taken to hospital after "falling down the stairs" at a Bromley school.
Emergency services, including Met Police, London Ambulance Service (LAS) and London's Air Ambulance were called to Bishop Justus Church of England School in Magpie Hall Lane on Wednesday (November 18).
A Met Police spokesman said officers were called to the secondary school by LAS paramedics at around 1.30pm to "reports of a pupil falling from a building".
An LAS spokesman said it was called to the school around 10 minutes earlier to "reports of a person having fallen from height".
Headteacher Simon Murphy told News Shopper, the pupil, who was treated for back pain and flown by London's Air Ambulance to a London hospital, fell down a set of stairs inside the school and no other students were involved.
Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, police said today.
The Health and Safety Executive has been informed of the incident.
In a statement, Mr Murphy, said: "Today, one of our students was injured as a result of a fall on a staircase.
"Our immediate concern was for the well-being of this student and therefore the police and an ambulance were called and the student received medical care on site and was then taken to hospital.
"No other students were involved in this accident."
An LAS spokesman said: "We sent a single responder in a car, an incident response officer, an ambulance crew and London's Air Ambulance to the scene."
Police remained at the school during the afternoon.
