Want to pay your respects to fallen troops by attending a Remembrance Day service or wreath laying event in the Bromley borough tomorrow? Here's where to can find them.
Bromley
A Remembrance service will be held in Bromley Parish Church, Church Road, with anyone attending asked to arrive by 10.45am.
After the service, a wreath laying ceremony will take place at the war memorial.
Beckenham
At 10.50am there will be a service and wreath laying ceremony at Beckenham war memorial in Beckenham High Street, lasting about 45 minutes.
A parade will follow the service.
Those attending this service are asked to arrive at the war memorial by 10.30am.
Bickley
A Remembrance service will be held at St George’s Parish Church, Bickley Park Road, Bickley, beginning at 10.30 am.
Biggin Hill
St George’s Chapel will play host to a Remembrance service at 10.30am and a wreath will be laid at the gate guardians.
Another service will be held at St. Mark’s Church at 10am.
The congregations from both services will meet afterwards to lay wreaths at the war memorial in Main Road.
Bromley Common and Keston
A service will be held at Holy Trinity Church, Church Lane, Bromley Common at 10am, followed by a wreath laying ceremony at the memorial in the churchyard at 11am.
Keston Parish Church, in Church Road, will also play host to a service at 10am, followed by a wreath laying ceremony at the war memorial in Heathfield Road.
Chelsfield and Pratts Bottom
Residents are invited to attend a service at St Martin of Tours, Church Road, Chelsfield, at 11am (to arrive at 10.30am) during which a wreath will be laid.
Cray Valley East
A Remembrance service will take place at St Mary Cray Parish Church, St Mary Cray High Street at 10am followed by a wreath laying ceremony at the memorial at 11am.
Cray Valley West
St Barnabas Church, Rushet Road, St Paul’s Cray, will play host to a Remembrance service at 10.30am.
Chislehurst
A Remembrance service will be at St Nicholas Church, Church Lane at 9.30am and will be followed by a wreath laying ceremony at 10.50am at the war memorial.
Farnborough and Crofton
Residents are invited to assemble at the Lych Gate of St Giles the Abbot Church, Church Road, Farnborough Village at 10.30am to join a procession down to the war memorial.
St Paul’s Church will have a wreath laying ceremony at 10.15am.
Hayes and Coney Hall
A Remembrance service will be held at St Mary the Virgin, Hayes Street, Hayes, at 10.30am followed by a short ceremony at the war memorial in the church grounds.
Mottingham and Chislehurst North
A Remembrance service will take place at Mottingham war memorial, which will commence at 10.45am in the car park of the Porcupine Public House.
This will followed by a wreath laying ceremony at the war memorial.
St Edward’s Church, in St Keverne Road, Mottingham will also host a service at 10am.
Orpington
Wreaths will be laid at Orpington war memorial at 10am, followed by a service at All Saints Parish Church, in Bark Hart Road, at 10.50am.
Afterwards there will be a further wreath laying ceremony at Canadian Corner.
Penge and Cator
Three events will be held in this area:
- A service at St John’s Church, Penge High Street at 10.30am followed by a wreath laying ceremony and service at the memorial opposite the Church at 10.50am.
- A service at Holy Trinity Church, 66 Lennard Road, Penge at 10.30 am followed by a wreath laying ceremony at the memorial.
- A wreath laying ceremony, at the Kent House Road Memorial, Beckenham and Penge Sea Cadets, 209 Kent House Road, which commences at 12pm.
Petts Wood and Knoll
St Francis Church, 60 Willett Way, Petts Wood, will host a service at 9.55am, followed by a wreath laying ceremony at Petts Wood Memorial, which is expected to take place at approximately 11am.
Plaistow and Sundridge
A Remembrance service will be held at St Andrew’s Church, 136 Burnt Ash Lane at 10am.
Shortlands
St Mary’s Church, Kingswood Road, will host a service at 10.15am.
During the service the congregation will go to the war memorial at approximately 10.45am to observe the silence and lay wreaths.
West Wickham
A Remembrance service and wreath laying ceremony will take place at the war memorial in Corkscrew Hill at 10.45am.
