A car burst into flames on the motorway in Wrotham this afternoon (September 24).
The fireball was witnessed on the hard shoulder of the London-bound M20 at Wrotham Hill.
The road was closed, and traffic held at a standstill, for a period of time.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "A car fire was reported just before 5pm on the hard shoulder of the M20 London bound between junction 1 and 2.
"Kent Fire and Rescue Service are at the scene. Lane closures are in place."
The incident happened between J3 M26 and M25 / A20 London Road / B2173 London Road (Swanley Interchange).
Kent Highways confirmed the traffic was released, and is on the move as of 5.30pm.
