Teenagers were spotted dangling off the 'wrong side' of the Erith pier yesterday (August 11) prompting a call out from the Gravesend lifeboat.
Once the RNLI crew arrived at the Erith jetty the teenage boys had climbed onto the safe side of the railings before running off.
A spokesman for the Gravesend RNLI said: "The lifeboat was tasked to Erith Jetty today at 6.08pm to a group of teenagers hanging off the wrong side of the railings on the pier.
"A crewman was put up the ladder on to the pier but when he was at the top the group of teenagers was seen to be running off the pier.
"A gentleman who was on the pier confirmed that this was the group hanging off the railings and that there were no more of them left."

This information was passed to the lifeguard before the crew returned to base.
