A sex cinema in New Cross where people pleasure one another as explicit movies play has finally submitted its licence application to Lewisham Council.
Club 487 has applied for a licence to show films from 10am to 10pm Monday to Saturday and from 12pm to 9pm on Sundays.
But, despite the seedy activities News Shopper witnessed on a recent visit there, the club has not applied for a more expensive and harder to obtain sex establishment licence.
The cinema, hidden beneath an old printing shop opposite Addey and Stanhope School, has been running unlicensed since the new year, with punters handing over £15 a time to watch hardcore porn and romp with other customers.
Speaking to News Shopper in March, manager Peter Jones said: "This ain't a sex cinema, it's a private members club."
He added: "It's just a nice comfortable place for mature, sensible people to come and enjoy themselves."
To have your say on the application contact the council's licensing team. Representations must be in by May 12, focus on licensing objectives and come from a resident.
