One of televisions best-known actresses will meet shoppers and share tales in Bexleyheath this week.
Pam St Clement, who played Pat Butcher on EastEnders, will be returning to the borough where she trained to be actor when she signs copies of her new book End of an Earring at WH Smith at Broadway Shopping Centre from 2pm on Wednesday (February 11).
Pam was a stalwart on the soap for 26 years before bowing out in 2012.
The book shares details about her unorthodox life growing up and also studying at Sidcup’s Rose Bruford College, where she took up a place in 1966.
Pam said: “This memoir is far more than simply my story as an actress. I wanted to reveal something of myself and how I became who I am.
“I’m delighted to have been asked to come and sign the book at Bexleyheath. I know a lot of shoppers there will relate to my on-screen character.
“I have a huge affection for Pat, but as people we couldn’t be more different, so I’m excited to see people’s response to the book.”
The End of An Earring by Pam St Clement is published on February 12 by Headline Books, Hardback, priced £16.99. Go to broadwayshoppingcentre.com, go to the centre’s Facebook page or follow @BroadwayBexley on Twitter.
