A closed station gate which left hundreds of Lewisham commuters frustrated could be re-opened after pressure from an MP.
Southeastern officials met Lewisham East MP Heidi Alexander, who has collected more than 1,152 signatures for a petition against the closure of the platform four gate at Lewisham station.
The platform gate has been closed since January 2013, and has left commuters frustrated.
Ms Alexander said: "I collected many of the 1,152 signatures myself and I don’t exaggerate when I say I was inundated with commuters waiting to sign.
"This is an issue that simply exasperates users of Lewisham station."
A spokesman for Southeastern said they may re-open the gate temporarily, but gave no definite dates.
He said: "It will most likely be temporary and we will probably open them at peak times, during the mornings and evenings."
