An 82-year-old woman was left "distraught" after her late father's war medals were stolen just a day before Remembrance Sunday.

Bromley Police are investigating after three medals were stolen from Shoreham Way, Bromley, on Saturday November 8.

The pensioner was burgled between 1pm - 3pm, with the criminals also stealing cash.

Three medals were taken, two from the First World War and one from the Second World War.

The two from First World War are both on ribbons, with at least one of them engraved with the name H. A. SYMS around the edge.

The medal from the Second World War had a red and blue ribbon, and was in a small box with a letter personally signed by the Queen.
