Updated proposals for the £80m redevelopment of a rundown Lee shopping centre are being put on display.
Site owner St Modwen says its plans for the Leegate centre in Lee Green, set to include a large Asda as its main attraction, will also put smaller, independent shops and public spaces at the project's heart.
The announcement comes after a number of concerns were raised at a public meeting last month, particularly about traffic and the loss of public space.
St Modwen says the plan includes a spacious outdoor space along Burnt Ash Road, a green roof over the foodstore car park and the creation of tree-lined 'green boulevards'.
Senior development manager Killian Morris, Senior Development Manager at St. Modwen said: "This is a complex site but we have worked hard to create the right balance between something that is deliverable and something that will bring about the complete transformation of the area that local people desire.
"We believe that the proposed development will benefit the whole community."
Plans will go on show at Unit 15 in the centre on November 15 from 10am to 6pm.
A community group called A Better Lee Green has set up a Facebook page.
