A 23-year-old man - named as Kieran Daly - is in a critical condition after a hit-and-run in Orpington.
The incident happened at 2.19am on Sunday (September 7) in St Paul's Cray Road, between Manor Park Road and Leesons Hill.
Kieran's family and friends are desperately hoping he pulls through, while police have launched an appeal to find the driver of the vehicle involved.
Friend Matt Arber said: "We are all hoping Kieran makes a full recovery as that is the most important thing.
"His family, girlfriend and friends are always with him and thinking of him.
"He's a very popular person and the support that everyone is showing would make him proud."
A number of people have taken to Twitter to show Kieran support.
Charlie Read said: "Thinkin of the boy Kieran Daly pull through mate."
Mike Marks added: "Even with the more bad news, we stay positive. Daly is a strong boy. Keep him in your thoughts."
The vehicle involved - thought to be a black Ford Fiesta - will have suffered significant damage to the front passenger side corner and wing.
Police are keen to hear from anyone who has seen the vehicle, knows where it is, or who owns it.
Detective Sergeant Matt Austin, who is investigating the incident, said: "The victim has been left with life threatening injuries as a result of this incident.
"We're determined to identify and find the person responsible and we're asking the public for their help in tracing this vehicle.
"We'd also ask any garages in the London and south east area to contact us if they've carried out, or had requests for repair work, on a vehicle matching this description since Sunday September 7.
"We would also like to hear from anyone who has recently received requests for parts relating to front and passenger side corner or wing for a black Ford Fiesta."
Anyone with information should contact DS Austin by calling 020 8285 1574, or crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
