A LEARNER who had the driving test from hell when her car was hit by a falling lorry at Eltham's Yorkshire Grey roundabout will get a free re-sit.
Police were called out at 9.42am on January 29 to reports of a collision involving a lorry and a van at Eltham Road.
One man received an injury to his arm and was seen by paramedics.
A spokesman for driving school BSM said the lorry tipped over and skidded into a pupil during her test, pushing the car into a high kerb.
He said: "The accident resulted in the test being cancelled or rearranged by the examiner. In these circumstances the Driving Standards Agency would make sure the pupil was not charged for the test as it has been paid for directly through them."
The spokesman added: "While the driving test can be a little daunting, most pass without incident and certainly expert driving tuition helps avoid any incidents of your own making. This was just an unfortunate freak incident and thankfully there was no harm done.
"Hopefully if they can cope with that, the rescheduled test will be a breeze."
