BEXLEY is number one in London for making older and disabled people feel safe through its social care services, research has revealed.
Data released last week also showed the borough came second for carers’ satisfaction.
Bexley's performance improved for 15 different indicators compared to last year, including improved quality of life and satisfaction of service users with their care and support.
For the few indicators where the borough has seen a slight drop in performance, it is still above or in line with the London average.
Bexley Council's cabinet member for adults' services Councillor Chris Taylor said: "The figures published today show that our performance is generally above average and, in some areas, outstanding.
"This is the result of successful partnership work with residents and their families, our colleagues in the NHS and those we commission to provide services."
