POLICE have made an urgent appeal for witnesses after a woman was "violently" pushed to the ground and robbed at Sydenham railway station.
The 28-year-old victim was assaulted, shoved to the floor and had her mobile phone stolen at the front of the station on March 12 between 4pm and 4.20pm.
British Transport Police (BTP) officers have now released images of two men who they want to speak to in connection with the investigation.
Detective Constable Mark Payne, leading the investigation, said: "On Tuesday, 12 March between 4pm and 4.20pm, the victim, a 28-year-old woman was assaulted, violently pushed to the ground and had her mobile phone stolen.
"Incidents of this nature are rare on the rail network, but we take them extremely seriously and are determined to catch those responsible.
"We are asking for the help of anyone who recognises these men to get in touch."
Police say they believe the suspects live in the local area and fled into a nearby housing estate.
Anyone with information is asked to contact BTP on Freefone 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016 quoting reference B10/LSA of 03/05/13.
Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
