A TEENAGE skin cancer sufferer hobnobbed with his heroes when he hung out backstage at a fundraising comedy show.
Ryan Thurston, 16, and his mother Maria were invited to the Royal Albert Hall by the Teenage Cancer Trust as he is currently undergoing treatment at the Royal Marsden Hospital.
And after enjoying a comedy show hosted by Russell Brand and Noel Fielding they were ushered backstage to meet Ryan’s heroes, including rock star Noel Gallagher.
Maria Thurston, of Elmhurst Road, Mottingham, said: “Noel Gallagher is his hero and Ryan was just enthralled by the whole experience.
“He absolutely loved it.”
Ryan is on a pioneering drug called Vemurafenib at The Royal Marsden in Sutton and his family has set up a website where people can give money to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
More than £10,000 has been raised so far.
