A POP pianist's dream came true when he played at a girls' school.
Jamie Cullum previewed new songs and performed a Justin Timberlake cover at the concert to celebrate the opening of Sydenham High School's £2.5m performing arts centre.
The 90-minute show at the school in Westwood Hill, Sydenham, was enjoyed by 500 pupils, staff and parents.
Headteacher Kathryn Pullen said: "Jamie said it was his dream come true to play at a girls' school and his performance was amazing.
"He jumped from the piano and even performed songs off-stage in among the audience."
She added: "I am delighted.
"The girls were fortunate not only to see such a hugely talented and exciting performer, but to see him in their own school."
Mr Cullum played at the school because he is a friend of one of Mrs Pullen's friends.
