WHISTLE Down the Wind is coming to the Bob Hope Theatre in Eltham.
Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical will be performed by amateur group Eldorado Musical Productions later this month.
It is set in 1959 in rural America and focuses on tensions in the Louisiana community with Jim Steinman’s lyrics adding a Rock and Roll edge.
It has only recently been released for amateur production and it is thought Eldorado will be the first group to produce it in the south east.
The company has been providing theatrical entertainment in Eltham since 1924.
Whistle Down The Wind will be on at the Bob Hope Theatre, in Wythfield Road, between March 20 and 23.
