INSPIRED by one of the biggest-selling albums of the decade, Dreamboats and Petticoats, the show of the same name is returning to The Churchill Theatre in Bromley where it premiered in February.
The show, which comes direct from a sell-out run in London's West End, features some of the greatest songs of the Rock ‘n’ Roll era and is written by Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran, the team behind Goodnight Sweetheart, Birds of a Feather, The New Statesmen and Shine On Harvey Moon.
This new feel-good musical production will give you take you back to a time when each passing week brought another classic track.
In 1961 emotions run high as young musicians Norman and Bobby compete to win a national song writing competition – and, more importantly, the attention of the gorgeous Sue.
But when Bobby discovers that shy Laura is no slouch on the piano, love and rock ‘n’ roll fame beckons.
Francesca Jackson, popular finalist from hit BBC show I’d Do Anything, stars as the feisty Sue, alongside Grease is the Word finalist Wayne Smith and a host of talented theatre actors and actresses including Josh Capper (High School Musical), Jonathan Bremner (Summer Holiday), Lauren Hood (Carousel) and Peter Gerald (Little Shop of Horrors, Les Miserables).
Featuring classic tracks from Roy Orbison, The Shadows, Eddie Cochran, Billy Fury, and many more, including the songs Let’s Dance, To Know Him Is To Love Him and Let’s Twist Again.
Dreamboats and Petticoats. The Churchill, High Street, Bromley. November 9 to 14. 0844 8717620.
