This year marked the departure of one of the UK’s most popular stationery brands: Paperchase.
In January 2023 Paperchase went into administration with Tesco buying the brand but not the 106 branches across the UK.
This marked the nationwide closure of the stores after 55 years in business.
There were formerly three Paperchase stores in south east London: Bromley, Bluewater and North Greenwich.
The Bluewater and Bromley branches were among the last of the Paperchase stores to close on April 3, 2023.
We’ve rounded up what happened to the three former Paperchase stores in south east London and what they’ve become since.
Bluewater
The Bluewater branch was located at Unit 125 on the Upper Guildhall next to Hollister and Starbucks.
However, the unit remains vacant, we have contacted Bluewater Shopping Center for further updates.
Bromley
The Bromley branch of Paperchase was formerly located on 130 High Street where Chopstix Noodle Bar is now situated, before it relocated into the Glades in April 2021 to Unit 6 on the ground floor.
Since the store's closure in April 2023, the unit has been taken over by Rituals Cosmetics selling luxury home and beauty items.
The brand was formerly situated at a nearby unit on the ground floor prior to the move.
Greenwich
The brand’s Greenwich branch was situated within the Icon Outlet in the O2 at Unit 10.
But since the closure the unit was taken over by Moss Bros selling mens suits and formal wear.
