A 26-YEAR-OLD man is in police custody accused of having sex with a sheep in Chislehurst.
The man was arrested this morning (July 17) at his home in Dulwich, where police also found a quantity of drugs and cash.
He was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply drugs.
Police raided the man's home after his DNA was matched with a pair of grey jogging pants found at Tong's Farm in Botany Bay Lane, following reports of a man having sex with a sheep on June 9.
Two men were out jogging near the farm at around 7.20pm when they saw a black man in a field next to a sheep, which was lying down.
The men reported seeing the man pulling down his black polo-neck jumper and pulling up his black jogging pants.
They reported what they had seen to the local National Trust warden and said they thought the man was having sexual contact with the sheep.
When police arrived they recovered a pair of grey jogging trousers next to the sheep.
In a separate incident on May 16 a stable girl reported seeing a man in a field with the sheep.
Her attention was drawn to the man because all the sheep were running away from him.
When she challenged him he said he was looking for his wallet.
Police would like to hear from any farmers in the area who have had similar problems.
Anyone with information should call 01689811212 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
