Appointment booking data from March this year has shed light on the differences in waiting times experienced by patients seeking consultations with their general practitioners (GPs) in the Bexley borough.
The data, compiled from the most recent government data, reveals a spectrum of waiting times, with some patients able to secure same-day appointments while others face waits extending beyond a month.
At The Albion Surgery, 3,534 patients managed to secure same-day appointments but 123 patients faced wait times exceeding 28 days.
At Northumberland Heath Medical Centre, while 2,595 patients were accommodated on the same day and just 11 individuals experienced waits exceeding 28 days.
Lakeside Medical, saw 197 patients waiting for over 28 days, despite 3,415 securing same-day appointments.

The patient list of the average south east London GP grew by 578 people to a total of 2,605 patients last year – an increase of 29 per cent.
In 2015, former Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt pledged to recruit 5,000 more GPs by 2020. However, the number of fully qualified doctors at GP surgeries in England has fallen by 1,877.
Yet across England, the number of registered patients increased by 11 per cent.
A Department of Health and Social Care spokesperson said: "We have introduced the first ever Long-Term Workforce Plan for the NHS, which will help us transform GP services nationwide, providing 2,000 more GP training places a year by 2031, and there are nearly 2,800 more doctors and 34,000 extra staff in general practice now compared to December 2019.
"Last year, the NHS also delivered 50 million more GP appointments – meeting the Government’s manifesto commitment."
